2001 Disney World
Animal Kingdom Lodge
After the kids got out of school, we took a one-week trip to Orlando for our yearly Disney fix. We had originally booked a room at Port Orleans but got a last minute coupon code discount from Disney to stay in their brand-new Animal Kingdom Lodge, which was a fantastic upgrade. The new hotel was beautiful and it was nice to be able to wake up and go visit the animals on the savannah. The pool was also very nice.
Epcot
For our first day, we headed to Epcot, where the annual Flower and Garden Festival was underway.
Crystal Palace Breakfast
On Saturday, we booked a character breakfast at Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom to see Pooh and his friends.
Universal Studios
On Monday, we took a day trip across town to Universal Studios to break up the Disney days.
Disney Studios
We finished things up with a visit to Disney Studios, where what we would come to call the "BAH" (Big Assed Hat) was under construction.
