Garden of the Gods

After dropping off Rebecca and checking into our hotel in Colorado Springs, we decided to tour the Garden of the Gods outside Colorado Springs. This natural wonder features a variety of sandstone formations, some towering over 300 feet high. We spent some time at the Visitor's Center and then drove around the circuit through the formations. We were tired and it was getting late so we didn't walk down many of the pathways, but we would come back with Rebecca later in the week to do some more exploring. We stopped for dinner at Hacienda Colorado near our hotel and had a great time. Our waiter was very personable, gave us good advice on what to order and the food was good. Janie had a margarita and then it was off to our hotel for the night.
