USA Water Polo ODP Holiday Camp
In December 2015 and January 2016, Rebecca attended several USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program (ODP) camps with an eye to be selected for the ODP National Championships. In early December, she was nomimated by her local team to attend USA Water Polo's Holiday ODP camp for middle-school players at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. She trained with national team coaches and players for several days at the Olympic training facility.
ODP Team Selection Camps
In December and January, a pair of team selection camps were held for the Midwest Zone at Lyons Township High School. After four days of camps, Rebecca was selected for the Midwest Zone Development team, which is for all girls born in 2002 or later.
2016 USA Water Polo ODP National Championships
Her team traveled to Riverside, CA in March to participate in the ODP National Championships. With only one weekend of training, her team struggled against California competition but defeated Hawai'i in group play and were just nipped by Great Lakes in the knockout round.
