Mardi Gras
Janie and Becca did a quick trip to Universal when Becca was in town and rode the major roller coasters so after she left, Janie and J. R. headed over one night to see the Mardi Gras parade. We started with some food, then a trip through MiB and Diagon Alley and the Harry Potter ride, then some more food. After that, it was time for the parade so we got butterbeer and a soda and staked out a place. The parade was a lot of fun and we walked away with a lot of beads.
Christmas at Universal
Bethany had never been to Universal Studios and Alex has never seen Diagon Alley so we made plans to take everyone to Universal before Christmas. We started with the new Hagrid roller coaster and visit the Forbidden Forest than the kids went on Velocicoaster which took up most of the morning. After lunch, we rode the train to Universal Studios to visit Diagon Alley and Escape from Gringotts. Janie and the kids rode the Mummy and then we all went to MiB. Janie and J. R. decided to head home after that since she had a headache and the kids stayed for another run through Hagrid's and shopping in the Wizarding World.
