Nassau

J. R. woke up early as we were sailing into Nassau and headed up to Marceline Market for breakfast. It wasn't too crowded yet but it was still difficult to pass through. He headed to the adult area to sit and read but found it lacking after cruising Celebrity. In the front of the area, the sound from Finding Nemo on the Funnel Vision was still loud so he had to go all the way to the back. The pools were small but there was one right at the back of the ship with a glass wall, which was cool. Janie texted she was going to breakfast so he met up with her to have some coffee. By now the market was full and he had to fend off someone trying to take their seats at the bar near the window because he got up to get more coffee.

Trivia in the Bayou

Next up was Pirate Trivia in The Bayou. We didn't think we would do very well on this, but we actually finished in a tie for second. Being multiple choice definitely helped us, though.

Lunch and Martinis

We went to Marcelline Market for lunch. Due to it being a port day, the market was not as crowded and we were able to find a seat. The shrimp and crab legs were good as was the Indian food. Following that, we had martini tasting with Fredy in Nightingales. He started us off with their signature drink, which is usually served in a bird glass. It consisted of Hendricks Amazonia gin, passion fruit and rosemary. We followed that with the Black Jack cocktail made with a splash of blue curaçao, a splash of grenadine, 2.5 oz. of Tito's vodka, 0.5 oz. of elderflower liqueur and a squeeze of lemon. Third was a berry martini made of SelvaRay coconut rum, champagne and strawberry liqueur, which Janie loved. Then came the Poison Apple made with 2.5 oz. Crown Royal Apple Whiskey, 0.5 oz. white cranberry and 0.5 oz. Fireball. Last came the Tiramisu martini, which had 1/2 oz. each Absolut Vanilla, Kahlúa, Bailey's, half-and-half, espresso and Frangelico.

Exploring the Ship

We spent the most of the rest of the day exploring the ship, including taking a Walking the Wish tour of decks 3, 4 and 5 where we learned how the Imagineers had designed the front of the ship with greens and nature and the back with blues and fantasy to help guests determine which end of the ship they were on. This would have been good information to publicize and we wish they had carried that throughout the ship.

Worlds of Marvel

Our dinner tonight was in the Worlds of Marvel restaurant with their Avengers Technology Showcase show featuring Ant-Man and the Wasp, Falcon and Ms. Marvel with an appearance by Captain Marvel. The show was interactive with us having to press the buttons on the core when Scott told us to. The show was fun and Janie got to fist-bump Ant-Man when he came through the restaurant at the end of the show.

Nightingales

We decided to skip The Little Mermaid show and head over to Nightingales for a drink. We sat at the bar and Fredy served us our cocktails. Janie got a frozen bubble drink with an ice bubble filled with liquour while J. R. went for the Step Mother with a smoke bubble.

Hyperspace Lounge

With everyone at the show or dinner, we thought it was a good time to go back to the Hyperspace Lounge and we were right. We had two seats at the bar right in front of the viewport and enjoyed our drinks while jumping through hyperspace.

Bourbon Tasting

Our tasting tonight was bourbon and we once again had Jennifer leading the tasting. We sampled three bourbons, a Yellowstone Rye, Russell's Reserve 10 and Woodford Double Oak. We liked the last two better than the first. Then Jen served us an Old Fashioned with Larceny bourbon and 1 teaspoon of juice per ounce of alcohol from Filthy Cherries instead of using simple syrup. We liked it so much we joined her at the bar for another along with a few other gentlemen who wanted to sample the Blantons, which she was unable to add to the tasting due to limited supply.

Night on the Wish

After our late nightcap, we went for a soda on deck and headed down to the room to relax and sleep.
