Once again we were off in the car early to drive down to Miami to catch the Celebrity Summit. This would be our third (and fourth) voyages on the Summit as we were doing a back-to-back cruise. We arrived in Miami early and dropped off our luggage and headed to the terminal. Security and check-in were quick and we were aboard the ship by 10:30. We went first to our muster station in the Casino to check in, then dropped off our bags in our room and headed to lunch. We had our first drinks and a good lunch and set about wandering the ship.
The Martini Bar is always one of our favorite locations so we went there to get a drink and meet the bartenders, who always provide great service. After a few drinks, we went upstairs to unpack and soon it was time for dinner. Our dinner service was a bit off with the wine steward struggling to provide drinks and a waiter, while professional, was very perfunctory and did not show much enthusiasm.
We were introduced to Alex, our cruise director before the evening's performance of Broadway Caberet by the Summit production cast. The cast was exceptional as always and we really enjoyed the show. With our early start, we had a night cap at the bar and then headed to bed.
