Disney World Half Marathon
J. R. signed up to run the half marathon during Disney World Marathon Weekend. So he got up at 1:45 AM and Janie decided to drive him to Epcot. While she slept in the car, he started his first-ever half marathon. Janie hopped the monorail to the TTC to watch him enter the Magic Kingdom and then headed to Main Street to see him finish mile 5. After grueling mile 11 on the overpasses heading back to Epcot, she watched him finish from the bleachers.
Princess 5K
Janie and J. R. both walked the Princess 5K through Epcot. We started the night before at the Run Disney Expo where we picked up our gear and spotted a few characters. Next day was an early morning waiting in the new Rocket parking lot to start the race. We once again planned for character stops but the lines were long and standing on our feet after the corrals was not something we wanted to do.
Princess 10K
J. R. ran the Princess 10K the next morning while Janie napped in the car. He was disappointed by his slower place than the previous 10K and when looking at intervals later, realized he had slowed down during Epcot too much to take in the scenery.
