Rebecca hired one of her friends to take some pre-graduation photos of herself around the University of Alabama campus and to officially announce she would be attending Harvard Law School in the fall.
On Thursday we drove to Tuscaloosa and met Becca and headed to the new Popstroke. It was hot and the course was just grass and hills but we played two rounds before going to lunch at Jim and Nick's.
Alex and Bethany drove in from Texas and Thomas drove over from Atlanta and we all met for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We had a few drinks in the afternoon and hung out at the hotel for a bit for dinner at Perry's. Dinner was great with Rebecca having a very large pork chop for her graduation dinner.
Rebecca and Bethany drove back to Tuscaloosa to get ready while Alex, Thomas, Janie and J. R. had breakfast at Flying Spoon and then hung out until it was time to drive down. We stopped at Buffalo Wild Wings since traffic was light for some cheese curds and some drinks before heading to campus. After parking, we met Becca outside the Coleman Coliseum and then waited in the heat to enter. We got seats in the second row and waited for her name to be called. Alabama graduation is odd with no commencement speaker except the President and parents being asked to leave right after their graduate's name was called.
Becca's official photos arrived a few days later, the first official graduation photos we have of her.
Kappa Alpha Theta took photos of the graduating ladies the week before graduation and Rebecca got to pose with her graduating friends.
We met for photos after the ceremony and then went for pizza downtown Tuscaloosa then some drinks at Session and a stop at the Speakeasy before returning Becca to her sorority house and driving back to Birmingham for the night.
