In 1990, our alma mater, the undefeated Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, were invited to play in the Florida Citrus Bowl on January 1, 1991.
J. R. was on the GT Athletic Association Board of Trustees and therefore received free tickets to the game as well as three nights hotel stay, so that made the decision to head down to Orlando even easier.
