We split our time at Colonial Williamsburg with several side trips to Busch Gardens. Rebecca thought we were visiting a garden instead of an amusement park, so she had to endure a lot of jokes as we pointed our bushes and gardens at the park to her. Janie and J. R. had visited Busch Gardens before the kids were born so it seemed like a new park for everyone. The park is divided into 10 different villages themed to European cities such as England, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland and Scotland. The Loch Ness Monster roller coaster was a family favorite as was Alpengeist and Griffon. We found The Curse of DarKastle to be boring and not worth the long lines. J. R. and Janie missed the Drachen Fire and Big Bad Wolf coasters which had been removed two years earlier but had been favorites on their previous trip.
