With the Fireballs first tournament game starting at 10AM, that gave us time to go to the Disney Studios for early entry. We went straight to Toy Story Movie Mania and rode in the stand-by line, which was pretty much a walk-through this early. After picking up FastPasses for the boys, we had enough time for a trip through Star Tours. Then we said our good-byes, and Janie, J. R. and Rebecca drove to the Wide World of Sports.
The Fireballs' first game was against the top seed in the U11 division and we were horribly over-matched, leading to a 0-12 defeat. Coach Jon told the girls to treat the first game as a practice and that the real tournament would begin in the afternoon.
Between games, the girls stocked up on free food from the vendors and took time to practice their dance skills with moves rivaling those of the college girls participating in the UDA championships in the events center.
Game two was a better match-up for the Fireballs, as the girls came out playing hard and aggressive. Rebecca scored the team's first goal of the tournament in the first half, but unfortunately this was the only goal the girls were able to score, going down 1 to 5.
After the game, J. R., Janie and Rebecca drove to Disney Studios to get in some park time. We picked up FastPasses for Tower of Terror then joined the stand-by line for Rock'n Roller Coaster, which was listed as a 70 minute wait. Over two hours later, we finally made it inside the ride. Not wanting to duplicate that experience, we went to some lesser rides like Star Tours and Muppets and the Little Mermaid. Lines had died down enough by then that we were able to hit R'n'R again as well as another run through Toy Story Movie Mania before heading home. Dinner was a run through McDonalds while the boys were off playing at Epcot.
