We enjoyed the Enchanted Garden so much on the Celebrity Reflection that we decided to book a day in the Thermal Spa on the Apex. So after breakfast, we went down to the spa for a morning or relaxation. The spa had eight different areas. The Hammam is a modern take on a traditional Turkish bath. Crystalarium featured an Amethyst crystal. The Salt Room is a simulated salt cave environment. The Steam Room was a traditional steam sauna while the Infrared Sauna Room used infrared lighting system to provide warmth. Janie took advantage of the Float Room with his floating basket chairs in front of floor-to-ceiling windows. Both of us took advantage of the Heated Tile Loungers and the Rainfall Water Therapy Room with its simulated rain showers ranging from warm to cool, from light drops to a waterfall.
The spa was great and we had an opportunity to just relax and stare out at more of the unique Apex artwork, like the people staring up at the sun. We would return in the afternoon for some more relaxation.
We finally had a chance to go out on the "Magic Carpet", the elevator-like device sticking out off the side of the ship. We had a couple of drinks there on deck 15. This area was disappointing as it was seldom open and only moved a few times a day and never with passengers on it.
We had lunch in the buffet again. With money to spend from our Drinks & More package, we went to the casino and played some slots. We ended up winning around $12. Then we headed downstairs for more drinks. Janie needed to get a drink in Craft Social and J. R. needed one in Eden to finish off drinking around the ship. We hung out in Eden long enough to see the sun setting off the back of the ship.
After drinks in the martini bar with Andrea and Bruce again, we headed down to purchase our photos and then met up with them for the nighttime show, Crystallize. Like all Celebrity shows, the plot didn't make any sense, but the acrobats, singers and dancers were really good, especially the violinist who was a featured performer.
We had to run to dinner at 8:30 because it was lobster night. We each had lobster and J. R. added a sirloin to his for some surf and turf.
All week we had wanted to see the shows in Eden but we always had dinner or something else going on. So this time we found a couch after dinner right near the stage and enjoyed the singers and dancers and their take on Alice in Wonderland. Janie got to be part of the show, being selected to be 'named' by the Cheshire Cat.
