Normally Cozumel would be a sea day for all of us since we have all been many times. But Rebecca is now 18, which is legal drinking age in Mexico, so J. R. wanted to take her off the ship and let her order at a bar. So we all went to Senor Frogs to have some lunch and drinks. It was a fun atmosphere as always. The kids went off to do some shopping after lunch while Janie and J. R. headed back to the ship.
Janie and J. R. did a little browsing on board the ship and then we all met up for a drink onboard before hanging out on the pool deck and enjoying the weather.
One of the highlights of the cruise entertainment was the impromtu country music show starring a member of the ship's cast. The entertainment staff was being hit by Covid positive tests, impacting their ability to do the planned shows. So the cruise director arranged for Alyssa Fuller, one of the cast, do perform a country set. She was incredibly talented and funny, despite her nervousness, and put on one of the best shows we had seen on the seas.
Following the show, it was dinner time again. Tonight was 'lobster night' so we all had lobster tail and J. R. and Thomas turned it into surf and turf. After dinner, Janie and J. R. headed to the dance floor for the 70's dance party with Madame JoJo, a singer and her band from Ukraine.
