Persian Garden

We had booked the Persian Garden for the day after wonderful experiences on the Reflection and the Apex. So after breakfast, we headed to the Spa and were definitely underwhelmed. The Summit Persian Garden is a small interior room. Instead of the heated loungers found on the other ships (and Disney Cruise Line), there was a heated bench you had to share with other guests which was not comfortable. The saunas did not feature any of the aromatherapy rooms seen on the other ships. We ended up staying about an hour and then leaving.

We had a drink at the pool bar and walked around the ship for awhile in the morning.

Key West

With a hankering for some key lime pie, we got off the ship to head to our favorite little stop. We made a wrong turn coming out of the port and ended up over near Kermit's instead so we went in and bought a few key lime items before getting our bearings and heading to Greene Street. We found our little shop and shared a slice of key lime pie and went back to the boat. One of the disappointments of the Summit was no themed dining in the buffet. Usually on the other ships, they would serve items native to the ports, like conch fritters or key lime pie in Key West, but nothing here.

Pickleball?

After lunch in the buffet and another drink, we went to the sport court where they had advertised open pickleball play. We found a net set up for volleyball and one set of paddles and two balls. We inquired if they had additional paddles and the answer we got was "there should be more" but no one was able to located them. So we dinked for a little while and left.

Trivia and Sail Away

We tried our hand at some more trivia with Alejandro and did reasonanbly well. We skipped out on 90's music trivia because the Captain announced there would be a beautiful sunset and we had been invited back out onto the helipad as a Captain's Club amenity so we headed out there again. The Captain did not steer us wrong as the sunset was quite pretty leaving Key West.

Life

After a few more martinis at the Martini Bar, we went to the Theater for the production show, "Life". Celebrity has some of the best entertainment at sea and we greatly enjoy their original productions over the pseudo-Broadway shows seen on other cruise lines. The singers, dancers and aerialists did not disappoint and the show was very moving.

We stopped for a drink in Rendezvous Lounge and watched some of the game show before dinner. Dinner was good although J. R. found the appetizers to be unseasoned and the seafood overcooked. Janie said the chicken was dry as well.

After dinner was the Full Moon dance party up on the pool deck. We participated in some line dancing and then danced to the house band before retiring to the pool bar for one last round of drinks before bed.
