Relaxing and Wine Tasting

On our last day, J. R. was up early and staked out our spot in the Solarium. Janie joined a little later and we stayed there until around 10. J. R. went for a coffee and Janie went to Captain Morfis' Secrets of Ship Navigation Talk.

We had the Captain's Club wine tasting at 11 and we sat and talked to a couple and another man while we tasted four wines. The second couple joined us for lunch in Moonlight Sonata afterward. Turns out she worked for Nortel, who was one of J. R.'s vendors at Motorola so we had a lot to talk about.

Music and Mixology

We headed back to the room after lunch to get our packing done, or as much as we could. In the afternoon, there was the usual Captain's Club Music and Mixology. Even though they do the same three drinks each time, it is fun to watch the flair bartenders do their thing and to hear the party band play.

Murano

We went down to the Martini Bar to hang out before dinner. We decided to skip the evening encore show of Shades of Buble to enjoy our last night on the ship.

Dinner tonight was in Murano and we were celebrating Janie's birthday. We ordered the chateaubriand for two and the waiter said for Janie's birthday, he was going to make her the tableside lobster as well. The food was fantastic and we had the Valrhona chocolate cake and petit fours for dessert. The waiter asked us if we had ordered pizza from the buffet, which confused us, and then he opened the tray to show a small cake with a candle for Janie.

Departure

We headed to bed right after dinner. We woke early and packed up and went to Tuscan Grill to wait for walk-off departure. We returned to a different terminal than we had left from so it was a little different walking back to the parking deck but we found our car and drove back home, stopping off at Cracker Barrel as usual along the way.
