Bazaar

After three days in port, we had the first of our two days at sea, which started again for us in the SEA Thermal Suite before we went down to the Bazaar for the Captain's Club sneak peek. Again, there was no one checking an RSVP list or even if people coming in were Captain's Club members and Spice was open to all guests, so there was no seating for this supposed exclusive event for returnng cruisers. We sat for a little while upstairs until the singers came out and then went down to hear them perform before stopping in Spice for some French toast and empanadas for brunch.

Chef's Studio at Mosaic

In the early afternoon, we had our Chef's Studio at Mosiac cooking lesson, which sadly overlapped Captain Kirk's rock show in the theater. We were served today's Aqua cocktail, the Aqua Blossom and then a Caribbean Spiced Lobster and Chorizo Patty. Then we went into the show kitchen where Mosaic Executive Chef Jordi led us through creation of the Seafood Coconut Asopao Soup. We were given a recipe book at the end with recipes from the various Caribbean Chef Studio menus.

Chef's Table

After a couple of martinis at the Martini Bar, we headed to Le Voyage for dinner tonight, where we had the Chef's Table booked. We met two other couples and were seated in the back room of the restaurant where we were served a fantastic multi-course menu designed by celebrity chef Danel Boulud. We had a fantastic time talking with our tablemates and probably made too much noise for the rest of the restaurant patrons as we were laughing most of the night. Janie added on the wine pairing while J. R. had an old fashioned and then iced tea. We all opted out of the Duck Magret in favor of Filet Mignon and it was delicious. We were handed a heavy book at the end that we called "The Book of Daniel" due to the chef's name on the cover.

We met two of our tablemates in IYKYK after dinner for a night cap.
