Enchante Brunch

We had a chance to sleep in this morning since our first activity of the day was brunch in Enchante. We sat for a bit in the Rose before Benoit escorted us back to our seats and described the Beauty and the Beast inspired French restaurant. We were a bit underwhelmed by the decor and thought they could have done more to invoke the opulence of the Beast's castle. Our waiter, Mojo, accompanied by Jeremy and Ricardo was excellent. The menu was served to us on a pop-up easel invoking the idea of objects from the movie. J. R. opted for the basic Passion menu with Tomato smoked and confit and tomato water, Lagoustine with kimchi and tamarind, Dover Sole with stuffed baby fennel and vermouth cream, Farm Raised Chicken with ravioli and poulette sauce, followed by a cheese course and chocolate dessert. Janie went for the Collection menu which included the tomato course but substituted in petrossian caviar and smoked haddock with potato puree, the Lobster 'Tribute to my Father' and Wagyu beef. We opted for different menus so we could share each others' dishes and enjoy all of the offerings. Janie also did the Wine Experience and had a port wine with her chocolate dessert. The experience was great but did take almost three hours, which were were not expecting, but had told Mojo we had no time restrictions, so he paced out the courses.

Tequila and Margarita Tasting

As a result of the long lunch, we didn't get to do the Haunted Mansion game that runs throughout the ship as we had planned because we had a tasting scheduled in De Vil's. Benita walked us through three levels of tequila shots then served a pair of margaritas. One was spicy with mezcal. She had made a few extras of these so we each ended up with two and then there was still one left over which she gave to Janie. Definitely redeemed the bar staff of De Vil's with this great tasting.

Haunted Mansion Parlor

We returned to the Haunted Mansion Parlor. J. R. unlocked the special drink by completing the riddle and we ordered 'The Spirits Have Been Released'. This is two cocktails. The first is made with St. George Botanivore Gin, Screaming Soda, Blackberry, and Blueberry and the second with Five Trail Blended Whiskey, Sour Shivers Lemonade, and Orange. These are served on a gargoyle candelabra. Of course J. R. preferred the whisky drink and Janie the fruitier gin drink.

King Loki

Loki was holding court in the grand foyer, having apparently declared himself King of the Ship.

The Barbery

We visited Abhi again in Hook's Barbery where we got to talk with one of the barbers as well as one of the hairstylists from the Untangled salon while waiting for drinks. Janie ordered the mezcal Old Fashioned from our tasting the other night while Abhi made J. R. a more traditional Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve Select.

Palo Steakhouse

Our day of gastronomy continued with dinner in Palo Steakhouse. The calamari followed by steak and lamb were perfect and finished off with chocolate souffle dessert. Our waiter Eloy was fantastic and when we told him we would be visiting his hometown of Tenerife in a few weeks, he provided us some restaurant suggestions and went and got a few recommendations from another waiter from Grand Canaria, which was also on our itinerary.

Back in Worlds of Marvel

Since we were doing express walk-off, we did not need to hurry back and deal with our luggage so we went and got some sodas on our way to our room and finished our packing before going to bed one last time on the Destiny.

Departure

We ended up leaving the room earlier than planned to try to avoid the elevator crush and it turned out we had an elevator to ourselves. We had been concerned we would be shuffled to a lounge to sit but there were already people lined up to leave so we joined the line. In another example of Disney not being well organized, instead of having the line queue, once they opened up the doors, they split it into four lines, including creating a new one so people in the back of the line were able to exit before all of those already waiting. It was raining hard as we exited the terminal and we were glad we were at this terminal vs the Celebrity one since it is connected to the parking deck with no need to walk outside. Janie was able to get on an elevator with the luggage while J. R. paid for parking and he joined her shortly after. After a convoluted exit path from parking, we made it to I-95. We made our usual stop at Cracker Barrel north of Ft. Lauderdale and then drove home.
