After our downtown London excursions, we hopped back on the Underground and made our way out to Greenwich, home of the British Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark and the prime meridian. We started off at the British Maritime Museum, something we probably would not have done, but our London Pass got us in for 'free' so we figured since we were here, why not. It was an interesting display of British sea history and Thomas especially liked the military stuff.
Next, we faced a daunting uphill climb to the Royal Observatory, perched high on a hill above the museum. We trudged up to visit the museum there that talked about the history of astronomy in England as well as time and the purpose of the prime meridian to sailors.
