In anticipation of moving, we decided it was time to upgrade the formica countertops and replace them with quartz. We had picked out a white stone originally but changed our minds and decided to go with a deep black with gold fleck accents. The install started smoothly until we learned the company had failed to order the slab for the island. After they lied about it just being on another truck, J. R. escalated to the owner and got them to deliver the final piece three days later.
We would later paint the walls gold and add a white subway tile backsplash.
