Visiting Disney World

We decided to keep our reservation at Coronado Springs, despite now having a rental house in Clermont, since we wanted a little of the "Disney Magic" and now living in Florida, we might never stay on property again. With some extra days, we added on a day at the Magic Kingdom to our planned day at Disney Studios.

We had a late dinner at Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs on Wednesday. We loved the food but weren't too happy about being seated outside, basically in a walkway with people passing close by as we ate.

Magic Kingdom

After working from our new home for a couple of days, we checked into the Coronado Springs on Saturday and spent Sunday in the Magic Kingdom.

Be Our Guest

We were able to get a lunch reservation at Be Our Guest, where the grey stuff was delicious as always and the Beast made several appearances as we ate.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Our reason for planning a Disney Studios trip was the relatively new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge area. We were not able to get a virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance but we headed straight back to ride Millenium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. We were not impressed, however, as it felt like another version of Star Tours.

Disney Studios

After Galaxy's Edge, we rode Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad. We really enjoyed this ride and thought it was a great replacement for The Great Movie Ride. We also rode Muppets and had some lunch near Star Tours.

Rise of the Resistance

While at lunch, Janie was able to get a virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance during the 1PM window. So we rode Star Tours and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster before our time came up to RotR. While we liked the ride, it was less impressive after Runaway Railroad, which used the same technology.
