As Alex entered his second year at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, we decided to take a family trip to the United Kingdom over Thanksgiving 2013 to show his brother and sister the country and spend some time with him before his exams. We flew into Edinburgh and spent a day there before taking a tour of the Highlands and Loch Ness with Alex and culminated with two days of Alex showing us around his adopted city, St Andrews.
