Today was Extra Magic Hours at Epcot so our plan was to ride Test Track since we had FastPass for Soarin' later in the day. But our plans went awry because Test Track was broken down. So we ran across the park to Soarin'. The standby lane still wasn't too long and moved fairly quickly. We enjoyed the new Soarin' Around The World movie. The transitions were much better than the old ride and all of the scents worked. We had a FastPass for Soarin' at 9:40 and since Test Track was still broken down, we decided to eat a little breakfast at Seasons. Rebecca decided a peanut butter and jelly cupcake counted as breakfast, and we let her go since we were on vacation. We hopped through The Living Seas with Nemo and looked at a few of the fish and then took another run at Soarin'. Then it was time for our Spaceship Earth FastPass, but that ride broke down as well (and apparently never restored to service that day). Rebecca wanted to see Figment, so we took a Journey into Imagination. Test Track had opened and the lines were already over an hour, so we decided to use the single ride lane and we all rode as singles. Rebecca got a picture of herself with a Corvette Stingray which made her happy.
We decided to split up after that with Janie and J. R. heading to the World Showcase for some lunch at Mexico. The nachos were not very good, however. The adults did some browsing in some of the World Showcase shops while the kids went and rode a few more rides. Then we got back together to ride Mission: SPACE. Rebecca begged off to get a Mickey bar. After MS, missing Lt. Dan, who was replaced by some other woman giving the exact same spiel, we saw that our Spaceship Earth FastPass had been turned into a generic FastPass so we used it for another ride on Test Track, this time getting to ride all together in the same car. J. R. and Janie wanted to do a little more shopping, so we split up again and the kids headed over to the Studios, where we had dinner planned and the adults took a later boat.
Dinner was at Hollywood & Vine. We were a little early but didn't feel like riding anything, so we hung out on the patio. The kids had come over already and did a little Studios touring and caught up with us. Dinner was delicious but service was once again lacking. Rebecca was miffed they no longer had the chocolate fountain for dessert that she had enjoyed in 2015.
There wasn't much time after dinner and before Fantasmic! so we went to the Frozen sing-a-long, much to Thomas' chagrin as he was sandwiched between Bethany and Rebecca, who knew all the words and sang them loudly to her. But the hosts of the show were funny and even Thomas found himself enjoying it. We walked to Fantasmic! and found some seats in the center of the theater thanks to our dinner package and sat back and watched the Mouse battle his nightmares. We wished Disney would upgrade this show a little as it has gotten stale. After Fantasmic, Janie and Rebecca were ready for bed. J. R. decided to join although he wanted to go to Epcot with the others, but didn't want to be a fourth wheel to the young adults.
