After a short sleep, we drove to Alex's apartment and met him and Bethany for some breakfast. We went to Shipley's Do-nuts for some kolaches and donuts. Shipley's had been a favorite of ours when we lived in Birmingham, and it did not disappoint. Following breakfast, Bethany's mom, dad, brother and sister met us at the apartment and we drove to downtown San Antonio for a guided cruise on the Riverwalk.
There was something else we wanted to visit, but couldn't remember what it was, so we ended up at an old mission building nearby.
Next up after the Alamo was a visit to Alex's school, Antonian, where we saw his classroom. Rebecca was thrilled to back at school.
We drove back to the apartment complex where Bethany and Alex got started on hot dogs and bratwursts. We had a good meal and sat around the pool, although Becca was unhappy it was too chilly for a swim. Bethany had planned some games for us to play, so after a quick game of "What Do You Meme", we played "Minute to Win It" games, which ended in a tie. Dinner was at Henry's Puffy Taco's, a local Mexican restaurant, which we had joked about when J. R. had dropped Alex off in the fall.
