Farmer's Market at the Pearl
We enjoyed a light breakfast in our hotel and then relaxed before meeting the Vuyk's for brunch at a local Mexican restaurant. J. R. wished he had ordered the chicken and churros as his pork tacos were dry and unseasoned. Following breakfast, we went to the Farmer's Market in the Pearl District, a converted brewery near downtown. Janie found a kettle corn stand and Rebecca had an "Elle Woods" crepe.
Swimming and barbecue
We returned to the apartment complex and the weather was warmer, so we went back to the pool. The water was still freezing, but Alex and Rebecca swam anyway. Dinner was at Bill Miller's for some Texas barbecue.
