Following five days of city touring, we were looking forward to a relaxing day at sea as we headed towards Copenhagen. J. R. began the day again with breakfast and some time in the Persian Garden and Rebecca and Janie would also take some time out to enjoy the heated stone beds and sauna rooms before we had a morning drink from the pool bar.
We had been invited to a galley tour by the Concierge so we went down to the fourth floor of the Opus restaurant where we were greeted by one of the chefs
The chef first showed us around the main gallery with all of the stainless steel.
Next we saw where the pastry chefs prepared all the sweets that would contribute to us gaining weight while onboard the Reflection.
Finally we saw where all of the dishes, silverware, glassware and trays were washed.
Rebecca headed off to the pool and he adults decided to attend the "How To Cook a Perfect Steak" demonstration in Tuscan Grille. This was a mistake as it was hard to hear and understand the chef and he repeated himself far too much. The madhouse to taste the finished steaks sent Janie scrambling to Promenade but J. R. brought her back some samples.
We stuck around Promenade for DJ Blease's Hits of Disco trivia. We didn't do too badly but there was a guy at the bar who had been a DJ in the 70s, so he aced the trivia.
For lunch, we went back to Sushi on Five to try some different rolls. The service was not as good this time but the food was still very delicious.
Janie and Rebecca went to watch "The Wedding Games", a ripoff of the Newlywed Game while J. R. retired to the stateroom to work on packing and relax on the verandah. They met up for more music and general knowledge trivia in the Sky Lounge (and more drinks) before dressing for dinner and the evening show.
The evening show was entitled "Euphoria", which was a Cirque du Soleil-like performance by a French company Les Fardadais. The show was incredibly well done and we were impressed with the performances of the aerialists, especially considering they were performing without harnesses on a rocking cruise ship.
While the show was impressive, the highlight of our evening was our dinner at Le Petit Chef at QSine. This is a show dinner where they use a projector to allow the little chef to 'make' dinner on your plate. For example, he would catch the crab for the soup and throw it on the plate. Of course, things never went right for him and he ended up being eaten by a crab, or falling into the ice. It was very cute and the food was incredible.
Dinner took about two hours but the adults got out just in time to head to deck 12 for the Adult Silent Disco, which turned out to be less than 'adult' as there were several small childen in attendance. This was this cruise's version of a 'white night' party, but since it had not been advertised beforehand, not many people were dressed in white. Janie and J. R. danced for most of the party then headed into the Sky Lounge for a nightcap.
As we sat in the Sky Lounge, we saw the ship passing beneath the Great Belt Bridge, one of the largest bridges in the world at 18 kilometers in length. It is the third-longest main span in the world and the longest outside Asia. The bridge connects the Baltic Sea with the Kattegat and the Danish islands of Furen, Langeland and Zealand.
