Port Canaveral

We had booked a reservation for a Disney Cruise when we were on the Disney Wish and when we saw DCL was offering a cruise that went to both Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay, we booked the Disney Fantasy. We drove down to Port Canaveral early in the morning and waited our turn to board the Fantasy.

Lunch

After boarding, we went to the sit down lunch at Animator's Palate for a Disney fix and to avoid the buffet.

O'Gills Bar

We wandered the ship for awhile before going to O'Gills Bar for a couple of drinks and to watch a little football.

Champagne Tasting

Our first tasting of the cruise was in Ooh La La, where we had a fantatic champagne tasting. We started with a Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut, followed by Taittinger, then Veuve Clicquot Brut, then Pommery Brut Rose Royal and finally a Moet & Chandon Ice Imperial.

Disney Fantasy

This was our second time on the Fantasy so we spent some time walking around the ship to take photos before muster drill and sail away

Prima notte at Palo

On embarkation day, we booked Prima Notte, an event featuring a curated selection of bite-sized delicacies paired with Italian wines. The event was fantastic with great food and great wine. We opened with a seared ahi tuna, then gnocchi with basil pesto, Snake river farms waygu steak with broccolini and black garlic and finally a chocolate pillow with blood orange jelly.

Dinner

Our dinner was in Animator's Palate where we were seated with two other couples, one who had been on 20+ Disney cruises and one on their first Disney Cruise.

Bourbon Tasting

After dinner we headed back up to Meridian where we did a Bourbon tasting with Larceny wheated bourbon, Knob Creek, Wild Turkey, Angel's Envy and Woodford Reserve.

Night

We returned to our room and were greeted by our first towel animal of the trip.
