We started off the morning with breakfast at the buffet and then a drink by the pool.
After morning trivia, we went to O'Gills to try our hand at drawing Chip and Dale.
We had done the Remy dinner the last time we were on the Fantasy with Bethany and Alex so this time, we decided to try the Remy Brunch. We started off with an amuse bouche and then pea soup, followed by a lobster mango dish. After an egg corn tandoori course we had toothfish and mushroom and then boeuf and pomme paille before vanilla ice cream for dessert. Janie did the optional wine pairing with Taittinger Prestige Cuvee Rose, Pommery Gold '08 and Moet & Chandon Ice NV.
First up in the afternoon was a Mixology class in Skyline. We began with the Elder Bubbles, which was raspberry vodka mixed with St. Germain and prosecco. Our second drink was a Tequila Reposado shot which we sipped once and sipped again after biting and squeezing an orange dipped in cinnamon. The third drink was a Caribbean Green Tea, which was 1/2 part peach schnapps, 1 part Jameson, 2 parts lemon juice and a dash of agave. Next was a rum cocktail made with Dos Mederas rum, smoky bourbon sugar, chocolate bitters and Filthy cherries. Our last cocktail was the Toasted Almond Martini made with 1 part each of Bailey's, Kahlua, Frangelico and Disarrona topped with star anise, a coffee bean and a cinnamon stick.
We followed up the mixology with a Chocolate and Liquor tasting in Ooh La La. We had a Moet & Chandon Brut with white and dark chocolate to cut the acidity. Then we had a California malbec and triedit with dark, caramel and white chocolate. We tasted a 10-year Tawny port with parmesan cheese and finally a Glenmorangie Signet with melted chocolate.
We went back to Skyline in the evening for a drink and before dinner.
We posed for a few ship photos in the foyer on our way to dinner.
We had never done a gin tasting, so we decided to try it after dinner. We started off with a London dry Bloom Gin, followed by a Mediterranan-style Gin Mare. Our third was Hendrick's Amazonia, which was our favorite, then Monkey 47 German gin and finally Beefeater Pink Strawberry compound gin. We tried each individually and then topped off with club soda.
We strolled back to our room after gin tasting to another towel animal in our room.
