Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

The Fantasy pulled into Disney's newest private experience, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. We made the long walk down the pier in the wind to the island and then hopped the tram towards the beach area. It was an incredibly windy day and we found some chairs near the beach and watched the high waves. We were only there a few hours before the clouds started darkening so we got on the tram and went back to the ship, disappointed that we couldn't get the whole day on the island.

La Piazza

After lunch on the ship we went to La Piazza to have a drink.

Martini Tasting

In the afternoon we had a martini tasting. First off was a traditional martini with Gin Mare and vermouth. Following was a Vesper with two parts Empress gin and one part Grey Goose Vodka with Lillet. Our third drink was a Gardentini cucumber martini made with one part Hendricks Amazonia, 2 parts Cointreau and lemon juice. Then we had a Lemon martini with 1/2 part limoncello, 1 part Absolut pear and dash of lemon juice with sugar on the rim. Finally we had a pomegranate martini with Pama pomegranate liquor, Absolute Citron, Cointreau and cranberry juice.

Evening on the Fantasy

We took a stroll around the ship to walk off our martinis and hung out for awhile in the chairs on deck 4.

Skyline Bar

We went back to Skyline for another drink and Janie got a blue glowing one which fit with the dark ambiance of the bar.

Palo Dinner

After a drink in Meridian we walked over to Palo for our evening dinner. The restaurant was rather empty as it turned out many guests were seasick with the rough seas we had been encountering over the past few days. The service was impeccable although J. R. did not care for his dinner. They were nice enough to comp it as well as offer dessert and prosecco even after we assured him the meal was cooked fine but just not to his taste.

Pirate Night

It was a bit windy but our waitress had called and confirmed the fireworks were still planned so we went up on deck for the Pirate party and watched the fireworks explode over the side of the ship.
