As the ship approached Castaway Cay, Janie, J. R. and Rebecca got up to have breakfast at Cabana's while Thomas slept. Then we went to deck four to watch as the ship docked and the workers began unloading all of the food and other other items for the day. We decided to go to our room because J. R. wanted to get his baseball cap, but the area in front of the stairs on deck 2 was so crowded, there was no chance of getting through to get to the room. So we stood with the crowd until they called it was time to debark. We exited the ship, got our towels and headed for the tram.
Seeing all of the people heading for the Castaway Cay 5K made J. R. wish he had signed up for it the day before. We had planned to head to the adult beach, but Rebecca was being wishy-washy about hanging out with the teens all day so we found some loungers under an umbrella on the main beach instead so we could stay with her. We mostly lounged around and drank Konk Koolers until it was time for lunch. J. R. ran into Thomas while going to the bathroom and he sat with us for awhile before going off to join the 18-20s for lunch. Janie and Rebecca headed to lunch first and J. R. went later since we didn't want to abandon our spot. Good thing, too, as later when we were sitting, sone woman came by with her kid and he just sat down on the chair where Rebecca had dropped her clothes to head to the beach. He was eating ice cream and dripped it all over the chair, just missing her clothes. J. R. said something to the kid like "thanks for dripping ice cream all over our stuff" and the mother cleaned it up. Apparently she mumbled "no one was using it" and Janie heard her. Good thing J. R. didn't or he would have likely dumped his left-over Sprite on her chair when she left all of her stuff on an empty chair to head to the beach a few minutes later.
Around 1PM, we'd had enough sun for the day and decided to head back to the ship, where J. R. and Janie were going to spend some time in the Rainforest Room. Rebecca hung around the beach and played in the water and took on Pelican Plunge a few times before she headed back to the ship to relax. After the Rainforest Room, we finished packing up the two rooms. J. R. and Janie went upstairs to the cruise booking desk to see about booking a cruise to Alaska. We signed up for an inside stateroom (one room over from where we were on this cruise, except on the Wonder) as a placeholder so we could decide on Disney or RCL for Alaska. (Booking onboard gave us a discount and on-board credit).
Thomas and the teen contingent hung out most of the day together and finally boarded the ship just before sail away.
The evening show was "Disney Dreams". We'd seen this one a few times before and J. R. wasn't really interested in it, but he went anyway. They made a few changes and brought in new scenes but it is definitely getting old and needs to be upgraded. We went to O'Gills after the show to watch a little football (and for J. R. to have another Blue Moon) before dinner. Dinner was the "Til We Meet Again" menu in Lumiere's. That meant Lobster Bisques and Beef Wellingtons and Lamb Chops, followed by dessert. Rebecca and Janie both ordered the Sweet Temptation, which was a trio of Celebration Cake, Chocolate Decadence and Cappuccino Mousse. J. R. had the server bring her one final Mickey bar as well. We teased Thomas about the Baked Alaska, as he didn't know what it was on a previous cruise and the server there had brought him a slice. Our server overheard and brought Thomas Baked Alaska along with his Chocolate Decadence.
After dinner, we popped back to the room to put away the last of our dress clothes and put out our suitcases. Rebecca went to watch some of Cinderella on the Funnel Vision and the adults (and Thomas) went to Fathoms for the Pop! game show, which was like a game of concentration for 80's trivia. J. R. was the first on stage and answered his first question correctly (too easy question on the Simpsons) but missed finding a match. Our team won the event, however. We stayed for the beginning of the 80's flashback but left when the club host started his attempts again to get the crowd to get 'rowdy' (taking off their shirts, showing their bras, etc.) This host really didn't understand the crowd on a holiday cruise. So we went to Keys to have a final drink before turning in for the night.
