We had one more place to visit in Ocala, which was Trilogy at Ocala Preserve. We really liked this community as it had a lot of great amenities and was not exclusively 55+. The houses were decent sized but the showers were small. We were still not excited about Ocala and the distance to Orlando so we decided we would add a stop at a Trilogy community closer to Orlando.
We had an afternoon appointment at The Villages but after thinking more about the distance, we decided to try to stop in earlier so we could add the stop at Trilogy in Orlando. We were able to meet with a representative in the morning and got a tour of the community. We liked the amenities and especially the various town villages with shops and restaurants but the houses were small with no pantries. But we kept them on the list of possibilities.
Unfortunately, Trilogy Orlando was not as attractive as the Ocala Preserve location. The location was smaller with fewer amenities. We got a tour of the community center which had a nice pool but the general vibe was not appealing to us.
We had enough house hunting and wanted to get a little Disney magic. Time would not allow a visit to the parks so we stopped by Disney Springs for some Disney shopping and dinner at Raglan Road.
We booked a hotel near Disney which we thought would be a good base for our Orlando house hunting but we were disappointed by the lack of reliable Wi-Fi. But it had a few Disney touches to at least keep us in the Orlando mood.
