Orlando Del Webb Sunbridge
Our first of two stops this morning was Del Webb Sunbridge. We had chosen it in order to see a Del Webb near Orlando since the Del Webb Oasis was not open for sale yet. We really liked the Lake Nona area around the Sunbridge community but were concerned about the one-lane road to the community and the planned expansion further behind Sunbridge. The community center was not yet built so we could not tour it. We were disappointed with the high prices and realized Oasis would be much more expensive. This really put a damper on our enthusiasm for moving to Orlando.
Harmony
We made one more stop at Jones Homes Harmony community. We liked the homes but the amenity center for the 55+ community was outside the actual community and the main pool and restaurant were shared with the rest of the Harmony community which would mean a lot of children at the pool. We also didn't like the pressure from the sales person who wanted to know everywhere we had visited.
Whispering Canyon
As we wrapped up our last day in Orlando, we stopped by Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge for a last Disney dinner. We shared an appetizer and dinner and then returned to our hotel. The next day we stopped back by Solivita and decided this was where we would want to move. But we learned they had stopped selling new homes for the month so we went back home disappointed.
