We had been to Cozumel a few times since we restarted cruising, so we didn't plan an excursion for the day. Instead we reserved the Thermal Spa experience and headed there after breakfast. We relaxed in the heated loungers and used the various saunas and had the place virtually to ourselves.
With Janie's birthday coming up in a few weeks, J. R. presented her with the opportunity to go shopping for some bling. We ended up at Diamonds International where she lusted over some fancy blue diamonds before settling on a nice earring and necklace combination.
We headed back to the ship for another Sunset Daiquiri on the Magic Carpet, some relaxing by the pool and some more time in the Thermal Spa.
In the afternoon, after Rock 'n' Roll trivia, we attended a session on cruising the Galapagos, a trip we already had booked. It didn't give us much more information, but did make us want to investigating changing our ship to the new Celebrity Flora.
Our dinner tonight was a last minute audible to The Rooftop Garden. We were seated at 6PM promptly and our server was somewhat attentive, although he forgot Janie's mac and cheese. She didn't complain because by the time the food arrived, she didn't want it anyway as we had too much to eat as appetizers. We should have skipped the smoked chicken wings, because although they were good, they were a meal by themselves, not an appetizer. The "train wreck fries" were just okay. J. R. was very disappointed in his ribeye steak. It was mostly fat and not appetizing. Janie thought her lamb chops were good though.
The show was a singer named Travis Cloer who was billed as doing "Frankie Valli better than Frankie Valli". Not really being interested in Frankie Valli, we decided to skip this one. The acts Celebrity brings on board tend to skew towards swing and Motown. We wish they would add more variety. So we opted to head to the Martini Bar for some drinks and conversation. We tried a few new drinks and stayed for the nightly show.
We skipped Night of the Year in Eden and opted to go to the Apex After Dark dance party in The Club. We danced for a while and then headed off to bed.
