Fort Lauderdale and Beyond
We made the early morning drive to Fort Lauderdale again, this time to board the Celebrity Beyond, a new ship for us. After some wayward GPS guidance, we arrived at the port and settled in waiting for our group to be called. We did the typical routine of muster station check-in, drop off bag in our room and up to the buffet for lunch before exploring the ship a little.
Aqua Class
Our upgrade came through and we were bumped up to Aqua Class which meant we had access to the Spa Thermal Suite. We did the open house and walked around the area to get ourselves oriented.
Sailaway and Evening on the Beyond
We watched the sailaway from our infinite verandah as we unpacked then went to the Martini Bar for a few drinks before the evening show. The show tonight was a comedian, Daran Howard, who was sufficiently funny for a cruise comedian. We went to Blu for dinner and were surprisingly unimpressed, having enjoyed Blu on our Transpacific cruise. Our waiter didn't seem to know the menu and had to ask Janie to point to what she wanted. Drink service was also very slow.
