After a few days at sea in a row, it was time to kick back and relax again at sea. That meant going back to the Thermal Suite in the morning. We had the Captain's Club wine tasting seminar in the morning and it was lackluster. The person running it did not describe the wines well and did not set the bottles out for us to see what they were either. This tasting has gotten worse and worse each cruise, probably as the number of elites increases.
We attended Colton Julian's Tribute to Billy Joel in the afternoon. He was good but didn't seem to know the words to some of the songs, even repeating a section in one song. (J. R. is a huge Billy Joel fan and knows all the words by heart).
We hung out at the Martini Bar for afternoon trivia, coming one away from winning Musical Bingo, then headed to dinner, where it was lobster night. They offered to make it a surf-and-turf for us in Blu, which was very tasty. We skipped the illusionist in favor of going to World Class Bar where the Daniil taught Janie how to make her new favorite drink, the Double Piquant. J. R. was still not happy they had removed Macallen from the list of premium spirits and settled for a Johnny Walker Double Black, which just is not the same.
