Town of Waterford

Following Cashel, we drove to Waterford, where we planned to tour the House of Waterford Crystal. We parked at the first parking lot we found and walked along the waterfront. We stopped at the Viking exhibits for some photos, Waterford having been a large Viking settlement, before walking onto the crystal factory.

House of Waterford Tour

Arriving at the House of Waterford Crystal, a tour was about to begin, so we paid our fees and headed off to the factory. The tour was very impressive as it showed actual employees doing work, unlike many factory tours which don't show actual manufacturing. We saw all steps of crystal making, from moulds to glass blowing to grinding and carving.

Waterford Crystal

After the tour, we walked around the Waterford Crystal shop. We found many nice items we would love to own and finally settled on a Waterford Crystal Christmas stemware glass.

Dinner and on to Cork

On our walk back to our car, we had dinner at The Reg before walking along the waterfront. We drove next to Cork, our stopping point for the night and The Kingsley Hotel. This was probably the best hotel of our trip and we wished we had more than one night there. Rebecca was upset the pool was closed already so she went to her room to update her Snapchat. J. R., Janie and Alex went down to the hotel bar to have some snacks, a few drinks and watch the Euro 2016 football.
