Water Polo

The morning started with Rebecca and Alex heading over to the pool for a water polo training session with some of the members of the St Andrews' girls' team. Rebecca was put through her paces and was regretting complaining about not being able to swim earlier in the week. The St Andrews' coach was already trying to recruit her to come play for the Saints in 2020.

St. Andrews

Janie and J. R. met up with Alex and Rebecca at the train station and then we went to The Northpoint Cafe for breakfast. This place is best known as as where Prince William and Kate Middleton would meet for breakfast when they were students at St Andrews. Our breakfast here was more American than our other breakfasts in Ireland and Scotland and was a welcome change. Alex needed to pick up his graduation tickets so we walked back along the seashore to the Student Union where we split up for the day. J. R. went back to Blackadder, Alex went back to his flat to clean up and meet his friend Megan who was coming back to St Andrews for his graduation and Rebecca and Janie had some shopping and a date with a donut shop. J. R. and Alex would meet up in the afternoon for a golf lesson.

Balgrove Larder

After golf, we met back up at Blackadder for a drink at the pub, where J. R. was bummed to learn they had two beers -- Budweiser and Corona. So Corona it was. Alex popped over with Megan and we drove to Balgove Larder for dinner. This was a steak place set in an old barn and it was the best steak we had this side of Chicago. We gave Alex his graduation presents and then drove him to his flat before calling it a night.
