Our plan for the morning was to hang out in the hotel until 11AM and then have lunch in the hotel restaurant. We realized around 10AM that the hotel restaurant was not open for lunch so we pivoted and went down for the free breakfast instead and then sat in the lobby with our bags until 1:30 when our car to Southampton arrived. This had been another late change as we originally were going to take the train, but that meant lugging our bags to Waterloo and dealing with them through the station and on the train and then getting from the Southampton station to our hotel.

Our ride with Airport Pickups London was smooth although we had a little trouble with the luggage because the electric pack in the boot took up a lot of space and made it impossible to fit the second hard side suitcase in it. We were dropped off right at the ibis hotel and checked in and took our luggage to the room. After resting a bit, we walked to the West Quay mall to look for food and after a few wrong turns, found All Bar One for a few pints, fish and chips and a sticky toffee pudding for Janie. We stopped for some sodas on the walk back and then repacked our bags for the cruise the next day.
