14 Night Norwegian Fjords & Arctic Circle Cruise

Wine Tasting

We still had one last day at sea before our final stop in Belgium tomorrow and we kicked it off with the Captain's Club wine tasting. The head sommelier served us four wines (one sparkling, one white and two reds) and gave us a brief overview of each. Thankfully they have stopped teaching us how to taste wine each time as they must have realized most of us, as repeat cruisers, have learned swirling, nosing and sipping.

Martini Lunch

After the wine tour, we went to the buffet for lunch, followed by a stop at the martini bar where last night's entertainer, Andrew Derbyshire, was doing a soundcheck. We had wanted to see his show the night before but our dinner plans had overlapped.

Lobster Night

We hung out at the martini bar in the afternoon for another round of musical bingo and general knowledge trivia. They had cancelled the Poolest Day Ever and officer volleyball due to poor weather so a lot of people were crowding the interior spaces which is why we kept our seats and nursed our drinks. We headed to Blu for dinner, where it was lobster night. We each made a surf-and-turf out of it with the filet that was on the menu and it was a great choice. Blu was definitely worth the upgrade cost for this trip.

Tom Wright

We went to Tom Wright's comedy magic show in the theater and he was quite good and funny.
