We woke Sunday morning to pack our bags and set them outside the room to be transferred to the Disney Dream later in the day. Rather than head back to the parks, we decided just to hang out at the Port Orleans pool before our Disney bus to Port Canaveral. The bus came around 11:30 and we were off to the port. We had to wait around the port for awhile, then finally were able to board the ship. We tried to skip the boarding photos because we were hungry, but we had to wait in line for the photos. We headed upstairs to the buffet with about a half-hour to spare before it closed. We were very impressed with the new buffet onboard the Dream as it had food stations instead of the single line on the other Disney ships, as well as having a larger variety of food.
Our room was ready after lunch, so we went downstairs to prepare for sail-away. Some of our luggage started arriving, but one bag did not show up, and unfortunately we did not see that bag for the rest of the cruise, which was a major problem for us since it had most of our dinner dress clothes in it. Disney was not very accommodating, to be honest, until we talked to a senior manager in Guest Services. They promised us they would have the stewards search for it, but we learned later that never happened. This was just one of our disappointments with DCL service on the Dream, which was just not up to the usual standards for the Disney Cruise Line.
