We had booked Celebrity's "Ultimate Beach Experience: Express Beach Getaway" for today and it was a bit of a mistake. First we didn't realize the walk from the ship to the terminal was quite long and the shuttle bus was full so we ended up walking which would have been a good idea since the shuttle never passed us, but we ended up waiting around for a long time on a bus designed for children. First we were waiting for two passengers to arrive then one guest in front of decided he needed the bathroom and took 20 minutes to return, upon which he declared "he didn't make it" so now the seat in front of us smelled like feces and he left a stain where he was seating. Janie later saw him washing out his shorts in the ocean so she gave him a wide berth while swimming. Harbour Lights was rows and rows of beach chairs far away from the shore so you could not see the ocean from the reserved seats they gave us. Janie did head down to swim while J. R. read his book.
The same crappy bus picked us up for the return to the ship. You literally could not walk down the aisle if people were seated in the end seats because the seats were big enough for 1-1/2 people at best. We took the shuttle from the terminal back to the ship then got some lunch upstairs. We decided to book a cruise for 2028 out of Port Canaveral so we went to Future Cruise where we decided the on-board credit you get isn't worth the hassle of dealing with them. The price was the same and they did not offer a reduced deposit and the agent first refused to change the lead traveler to Janie so she could earn commission, blaming his 'system', then deleted J. R.'s Captains Club number and left off the prepaid gratuities, all the while blaming the 'system' for his errors.
We went to the martini bar for a quick drink before dinner in main dining. J. R. had the special pork ribs which were good but after dinner was not feeling well, so he turned in for the night.
Janie headed to the early showing of Awaken in the theater with the production cast and enjoyed it although she said, like most Celebrity shows, she did not understand it.
Janie was able to catch the flair bartenders doing their nightly show in the Martini Bar and then went to Craft Social to finish off her night talking about fantasy novels with a fellow passenger.
