We had finally reached the last in our second string of days at sea. We enjoyed breakfast in Blu looking out over the ocean, then went back to the Solarium to relax. J. R. got his morning French Caribbean from the Pool Bar then went up to trivia while Janie attended Eddy's 10 Things You Didn't Know About Ship Life presentation. J. R. missed another trivia victory by one question and then was bummed to find out he had finished third in Progressive Trivia for the week, losing by only three points. If he had attended the first day instead of having hot glass scheduled, he would have one the prize easily. After trivia, it was back to the Solarium for a little more sun.
We met up for lunch in the Oceanview Cafe and the dessert chef had pulled out all the stops with an array of cakes and even a chocolate fountain.
We had been on the ship for almost three weeks, but there were still areas we had yet to explore so we walked down from lunch to the lower decks to check out the library, the game room and the "Earth room" and could report back to Rebecca that there were no hanging egg chairs on this ship, unlike the Reflection. We thought about going to the guest and crew talent show but decided to spend some time relaxing instead.
We joined Dom for his musical movie trivia where he acted out parts from various movie theme songs. We had seen Giuseppe do this on an Apex cruise and it is always fun. Dom pulled J. R. up on stage to help him act out the pivotal scene from Dirty Dancing. After that was one last trivia with Roxstar where we scored another victory, largely due again to remembering answers from a previous cruise with him. We had earned enough points from the week to win a Celebrity T-shirt and hat and a deck of playing cards.
Our evening entertainment was a Variety Show featuring Divas 3, Ashley Amber and David & Dawn. We primarily went to see David and Dawn perform again. Divas 3 and Ashley Amber strayed from their Motown/Whitney performances, which was more interesting to us. The orchestration guitarist, Alex, stole the show with his guitar work on Ashley Amber's rendition of Purple Rain.
We went back to Blu after the show because it was "lobster night". We were a little disappointed that the filet mignon showed in the app had been replaced by loin pepper steak so we bailed on the surf-and-turf idea and just had the lobster. J. R. had two tails, which were relatively small. We passed on the Baked Alaska but made sure to tell Thomas it was on the menu.
The performers were doing another pop-up show in Sky Lounge. By the time we got there, most the seats near the dance floor were taken but we found two in the second row. Once again the logistics were poor as the orchestra had to come upstairs from the show, which was over an hour-long so the show didn't start until 10:15. The singers and dancers performed 40's music, which was chosen because we were approaching Hawaii.
