Backstage Tour

Our morning started with breakfast and then we attended the Captain's Club Elite Backstage Tour. One of the singers and two of the dancers met us in the theater where they answered questions about life on the ship and the shows and their backgrounds and then they took us through the dressing rooms behind the stage. It is pretty much the same as we have experienced on other cruises but always interesting to get the perspective of different cast members.

Mixology 101

We had our delayed Mixology 101 class today, again with Yopi in the martini bar. We mixed the same drinks we had mixed in previous Mixology courses, but still a fun event.

Hollywood Cabaret and Lies About Vietnam

The evening show was Hollywood Cabaret with just the singers as they sang songs from Hollywood musicals. They were quite good and we enjoyed the performance. Sarah Leanne, the cruise director got on stage after the show with details of our planned stop in Ho Chi Minh City the next day. So we were very surprised when we heard the tones ring in our room at 10:30 and the Captain came on and told us that the ship did not have a berth in Ho Chi Minh port and we would be missing Vietnam and instead arriving early in Singapore. This had been rumored earlier in the week and we knew it was impossible the Captain arranged an extra day in Singapore on that short notice so the CD knew when she got on stage and outright lied to us. So we ended up missing the one country we really booked the cruise to see due to mismanagement.
