After the Vietnam debacle and more days at sea than we expected, we docked in Singapore's Marina Bay Cruise Center in the morning. We had decided the night before to head to the MacRitchie Treetop Walk, which was an attraction we had planned for our first day in Singapore but were considering cutting out because of the extra transport and walking we would have to do. We walked to the end of the terminal and picked up a cab who took us to the parking lot adjacent to the Windsor Nature Park. Windsor Nature Park and MacRitchie are part of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. We walked the Venus Link with its raised boardwalks and cobblestone paths where they connected to the Terenlang Trail that took us past the ranger station to the TreeTop Walk. Along the way we stopped to watch the wild monkeys in the trees and along the path.

We climbed several flights of stairs to make it to the Treetop Walk, a 250m freestanding suspension bridge between the two highest points in the Catchment Nature Preserve. We made our way across the one-way bridge, which was not crowded this early in the morning, allowing us to stop and take in the views. Then we had to climb down and back up another series of staircases to continue our loop back to the ranger station.

There are over 20 kilometers of trails in the Central Catchment Nature Preserve and we only walked about 10 km of the total length, which was more than enough for us. We decided to do the short 10 minute walk to the Singapore Metro station, stopping at a gas station to pick up some sodas. We thought about stopping at one of the hawker markets for lunch but opted just to head back to the ship and the free food at the buffet.

The evening show was a magician, Jeremy Tan but we decided to skip that in favor of spending some time on deck enjoying the Singapore skyline and having a few drinks as we finished up our packing to leave the ship in the morning.
